<br>this means that the path(in which executables are searched) is not set to include the xcrysden execuatable's location<br>in shell edit the .bashrc file as su<br>$gedit .bashrc<br><br>##at the end of file add<br>XCRYSDEN_TOPDIR=/path/to/Xcrysden/directory/<br>
XCRYSDEN_SCRATCH=/path/to/tempdirectory <br>export XCRYSDEN_TOPDIR XCRYSDEN_SCRATCH<br>PATH="$XCRYSDEN_TOPDIR:$PATH:$XCRYSDEN_TOPDIR/scripts:$XCRYSDEN_TOPDIR/util"<br><br>##save the file<br><br>and run xcrysden at shell<br>
