[xcrysden] problem running on OS X 10.9

Unfortunately this is not true on MacOS, as we have discussed on this list
before. 7.0.2 works; 7.8.2, 7.11.2, and 8.0.4 (at least from macports) do
not work with xcrysden. The initialization of the window fails immediately
with something like

X Error of failed request:  BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)
  Major opcode of failed request:  3 (X_GetWindowAttributes)
  Resource id in failed request:  0xffffffff
  Serial number of failed request:  566
  Current serial number in output stream:  567
