[Pw_forum] difference between sawlike and homogeneous electric field?

Dear all:
   I want to know where is the difference between sawlike and
homogeneous electric field? If I want to calculate the electric field
effect on thin films based on slab geometry, which one is the correct
choice? And I have found little infomation on how to set the
calculation options except that in 'INPUT_PW', could you please point
out for me where the detailed infomation is?
