Thank you very much for your reply.

What I was also curious about was whether or not this matrix element  
that is calculated by the subroutine "elphel" is in units of energy /  
distance or if it includes other units such as the mass, which are  
present in the eigenmodes during some phases of the code's  
operation.  It seems that upon an inspection of the subroutine  
"elphsum," which uses these matrix elements, that this may be the case.
