actually in the current "stable" version of Espresso (i.e. the
one that is available from the web) the README.WANNIER file 
is in a strange place, in the PP/ directory. It has been moved
to where it belongs, i.e. to Doc/, in the CVS version and in
the soon-to-be-released next "stable" version
