[Pw_forum] AMD64 and IFC

Dear PWSCF'ers,

I am soon to be the lucky recipient of an AMD64 computer.  I haven't 
been able to follow the previous postings.
So ... I intend to install either Mandrake or Suse 64-bit onto it.  When 
I come to compiling PWSCF, I'll need to know :
1) Can one compile 64-bit code for AMD using the Intel Fortran Compiler 
? If not, is there a compiler that can ?
2) How to get the best performance, i.e. not having to compile 32-bit 
libraries etc.
3) Any other things I should know :)

I would be interested to hear from people 's experiences on this.
